Family lifestyle photography

All our work is shot on location – we hate the constraints of a stuffy studio with boring backgrounds and blinding flash – and prefer to shoot using only natural light in a location that has some meaning for the client. These shots were taking in the local park and in the client’s home. This little boy (just six months old) made a great model and I think these examples show how much more natural children’s portraits can look without the use of harsh flash.

So, what do we charge for shots such as these? Well, we’re certainly not expensive, but if you’re looking the the ‘cheapest’, you probably won’t find them here. Like most things in life, cheap portrait photography is rarely good. In fact, it’s usually a false economy; people often come to us six months after have some ‘cheap’ shots taken – they were either disappointed with the low quality or simply got bored of looking at the ‘studio style’ pictures, many of which quickly go out of fashion.

We take terrific photographs of children – from babies to teenagers. Our lifestyle shoots are incredibly relaxed and because we shoot with natural light, there’s no masses of equipment or big bright flashes to intimidate the little ones.Our philosophy works every time: if they’re having fun, they’ll look great in the pictures.
