Forget stuffy studios, boring white backgrounds and photographic fads that date quickly, lifestyle photography on location offers a timeless, relaxed and honest look that won’t date and looks great in any home. We take natural, vibrant pictures on the beach, at a local beauty spot or one of your favourite places. The children will just be ‘themselves’ – no awkward poses or instructions to ’say cheese’.

We work out of two principal locations: London and the lovely coastal town of Southport in the north west – and all points in between!

Reportage ‘documentary style’ wedding photography

If you’re looking for something a little different from your wedding photography, have you considered having the event shot in a ‘reportage’ style? No awkward poses, no formal group shots, no photographer getting in the way and holding everything up. This is our style of wedding photography.

We record the day’s events as they happen, paparazzi style. We don’t get in the way and we don’t direct the photographs in any way. This documentary approach provides you with an outstanding collection of colour and black & white images that record your day as it evolves, showing everyone enjoying themselves. We usually start our day with photographs of the bride getting ready, then finish with some pictures of the first dance.

Pricing:

Our packages are modern and flexible. If you would like a luxurious handmade Italian album, then that’s what we will provide. If you would like a coffee table book (maybe with smaller, parents’ versions, too), we can organise it. Perhaps you just want a DVD containing all the images from the day so that you can organise your own printing: that’s fine, too. Children’s lifestyle portraits

We take terrific photographs of children – from babies to teenagers. Our lifestyle shoots are incredibly relaxed and because we shoot with natural light, there’s no masses of equipment or big bright flashes to intimidate the little ones.Our philosophy works every time: if they’re having fun, they’ll look great in the pictures.

From the beach to the barn, the garden to the garage, the cottage to the cornfield, we’ll find a great location that ensures the children will enjoy themselves and consequently look their best.

From our bases in Southport and London, we work across the whole of the North West and South East regions – and all points in between.

Children’s portraits are available in luxury frames, canvases, the latest acrylics, handmade Italian albums and stunning coffee table books. As you can see, we prefer to steer our clients away from stuffy studio settings and shoot our portraits on location. We always aim to photograph people looking natural and relaxed – which is hard to achieve it a hot studio with flash lights popping away from all directions.

Lifestyle shoot of the month (well done girls!)

These shots are typical of one of our location lifestyle portrait shoots. The girls (sisters) were photographed both in the home and on nearby farmland. For this sort of shoot, we always try to create a happy and totally relaxed environment for the children to have fun – and be children. There are no instructions, no directions and no orders to smile or say ‘cheese’; they are simply photographed enjoying themselves.

Spring is in the air for location portraits

It’s the time of year when people start to think about blue skies, daffodils, green shoots, etc – and it’s a great time for a location shoot on the beach or the sand dunes. In the pictures below, Alex was running around with the dog on the beach near the Freshfield Nature Reserve – one of our favourite locations.

These location photo shoots normally take around two hours and can be a great way for the family to spend a Sunday morning. The shoot itself costs from just £95 (depending on where you are) and there’s no obligation to buy anything – no pressure and certainly no hard sell (we like to think think our pictures sell themselves). The location can be anywhere – it doesn’t have to be a beach – as long as it’s somewhere you enjoy.

With spring in the air, the wedding season is almost upon us – as is the time for getting engaged. For those who have decided to tie the knot, we’re offering a special all-inclusive package for a romantic engagement portrait (many couples use these images on their ‘Save the Date’ cards).

Our engagement lifestyle shoots are relaxed and great fun. We’ll take a wide selection of images in a fashion / advertising style at a location of your choice; this could include the home but will mostly focus on an outdoor location (and don’t worry if you’re stuck for ideas for finding the right location – just leave it to us).
